In 1995 the ministry began to serve addicts through sharing the Word of God. Rev. Frank Becerra and Rev. Joe Hernandez, Pastor of Restoration Outreach Church, opened the door for David Bucklew to preach and minister God's Word and shortly thereafter he was ordained. This opened another door for the ministry and several years later, David Bucklew was called to Star of Hope where he now serves as the Manager of Program Service.  David Bucklew continued to study and obtained his Doctorate of Theology.  To the left is a picture of a man known as "Bear" and Doctor Bucklew. "Bear" was a client in the Spiritual Recovery Program. Notice the love of Christ in his face. "Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed," (John 8:36).
Classroom time is essential to understand the addiction. Here one learns how to overcome the temptation to use and to apply biblical principles to overcome using drugs or alcohol.
